Our Mission

The Little Bird Project is a Christian, faith-based non-profit organization that offers support to mothers of premature infants by visiting them in the hospital during the most critical times after birth. Through an online community, and in-person services at local supporting hospitals and organizations, The Little Bird Project positions themselves to provide a free pair of hand-knitted baby shoes and educational brochure to a new mother of a premature baby. It is our hope to share the love of Christ to these mothers and babies.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works: my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
— Psalm 139: 13-15 ESV

About Us

The Little Bird Project has a goal of promoting awareness to the ever growing need of education for mothers of premature infants. Through utilizing our services, hospitals where our volunteers serve have the opportunity of partnering with us to hand out life-giving materials and education opportunities to learn how to care for their growing infants at home. Not only that, when a mother is greeted for the first time, she will receive a pair of hand-knitted baby booties for their preemie. It is our hope to also provide support to new mothers through community and prayer.
